What is the difference between VoIP and Hosted Telephony?
Nothing — they’re the same thing. As the technology has grown it has acquired many names: Internet Telephony, IP Telephony, Cloud Telephony, Hosted VoIP, Digital Phone Service. It’s all just a modern cloud-based phone system.

How does Hosted Telephony work?
It’s a cloud-based business phone system that lets you make and receive calls on any device, anywhere. It works via our powerful apps (Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android) — log in and you’re ready to go.

How well does it work on a mobile data connection?
We recommend a 4G or 5G connection for the best quality calls. If you lose signal, calls are automatically pushed to your mobile number so you never miss them.

How much mobile data does VoIP use?
As a general guide, VoIP uses approximately 1MB of data per minute — comparable to most other cloud-based communication apps.

I already have a phone number — can I keep it?
Yes. We can port most UK landline numbers for £20+VAT, and we port in from all major UK networks free of charge. We cannot port international numbers.
